The Internet Archive has made it possible for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 generation to play the games that shaped the gaming world, games such as Centipede, Space Invaders, and Donkey Kong are finally available to play, for free, right in your browser!

In October, The Internet Archive released a tool that gave the ability for ‘historic’ software to run in your browser, it included a few pieces of software as well as a handful of games which used to run on much older systems. Now however, the company has released a ton of ROMS from consoles such as the Atari 2600, Atari 7800, ColecoVision, Magnavox Odyssey², and Astrocade giving you the chance to play almost every game from each of those consoles.

I remember my first ever console was the Atari 7800 and burning hours on Centipede and Space Invaders. I wasn’t that good at it back then but I’ve just burned around half an hour and racked up a pretty impressive score!

You can check out this archive of fantastic yet, fairly dated games by heading to the Console Living Room
