Sony’s PlayStation 4 launched here in the UK on Friday 29 which became the fastest selling video game console in all UK history according to UKIE. Thanks to this launch Call of Duty: Ghosts has tackled FIFA 14 out of first place moving the annual football title down to second.
This week saw the return of Call of Duty: Ghosts to first place with FIFA trailing behind in second, following FIFA is Battlefield 4 which also benefited from the launch of the PlayStation 4. A new entry this week is the first PlayStation 4 exclusive Killzone: Shadow Fall which debuts at fourth place with Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag falling down to fifth.
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes seems to be holding strong this week thanks to the next-gen consoles staying in sixth place whilst Grand Theft Auto V moves up to seventh place. The launch of the PlayStation 4 also helped out Need for Speed: Rivals which jumps to eighth place from thirteenth as does Just Dance 2014 which also benefits from the games release on the Wii moving it to ninth place from fourteenth place last week.
Finally in tenth place we’ve got Batman: Arkham Origins which has benefited more from the Black Friday sales than anything else.
New entries this week come in the form of Knack for PlayStation 4 in at thirteen, Nintendo’s Super Mario 3D World for Wii U debuts at fourteen and way down in thirty eight sees the re-release of Injustice: Gods Among Us – Ultimate Edition.
