It looks like Alcatel OneTouch are ‘popping’ into the Phablet market with their recently unveiled Alcatel OneTouch Pop C9, a colourful mid-range big brother to Alcatel OneTouch’s range of Pop C devices.
Slipping comfortably into the Phablet category, the Alcatel OneTouch Pop C9 boasts a large 5.5 inch qHD IPS display which brings with it vivid, crisp and clear pictures.
Inside it’s powered by a 1.3GHz Quad Core processor accompanied by 1GB RAM, it also houses a 2500 mAh battery. Sadly the C9 lacks in the memory department with only 4GB of internal memory, but it does have a MicroSD slot which supports up to 32GB. The Pop C9 also comes with Android 4.2 with Alcatel OneTouch’s easy-to-use ONETOUCH UI over the top.
In terms of battery power the OneTouch Pop C9 will offer around eight hours talk time on 2G, and four hours on 3G, which isn’t too bad, but you may need to carry a charger with you.
The device also comes with five colourful cases to choose from. In terms of a release no dates or carriers have been announced yet, pricing is also to be announced too though we’re not expecting it to be too pricey.
