That’s right, Moto G users in Europe should start receiving notifications for the OTA update of Android 4.4.2 – KitKat which comes a fair few weeks after North American Moto G users started to see the update arrive on their devices.
The now Google-owned Motorola launched the Moto G in November last year with Android 4.4.1 on board with the expected update to Android 4.4.2 to come pretty soon after. That happened for Moto G owners in North America who saw the roll-out of Android KitKat around mid December and after a few more weeks us here in Europe are finally seeing the update.
Android 4.4.2 – KitKat – is expected to bring with it a wealth of bug fixes as well as Android 4.4.2 exclusive features such as the transparent navigation and status bar, immersive mode, and smart dialer, not to mention a handfull of other improvements too. Motorola have more than likely thrown in a bunch of bug-fixes too so expect your Moto G to be better than ever!
If you’re impatient like me, you can always try and push for an update by heading to Settings>About Phone>System Updates>Check Now. If you still get nothing, be patient, it’s on its way.
