This morning one of the most celebrated open world RPG’s of the generation The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was accidentally listed for PS4 and Xbox One, but before you get excited, it was a genuine accident.
Hoping for a next-generation re-release we were disappointed to hear that it was a genuine system slip up from developers, Bethesda. In reply to a tweet asking whether Skyrim will be coming to next-gen consoles, Bethesda’s Pete Hines replied “just a bug from a CMS update we did. 00/00/14 got entered in blank fields and caused this to appear. Sry for confusion.”

Skyrim is approaching three years old this year and it’s starting to show on current generation consoles and what we’ve seen with the PC version of the game with people moding the graphics and improving the environments and character models it shows that we can make the province of Skyrim more beautiful than it already is.
So as disappointed as we are that Skyrim may not be coming to next-gen, I’d like to know, would you buy a next-gen version of Skyrim? Or are you sick of developers re-releasing their products on the next-gen consoles? Let me know in the comments or Tweet at me @samcoles2.
