One of the main draws of a video game is the setting. If you can get your location right, you’ll get a good crowd of people wanting to explore the territory. Sucker Punch decided on Seattle for the new installment of inFamous and from what I can see in the trailer, it looks amazing.
I’ve never been to Seattle myself, maybe neither have you but the team working on the development of the city in the game also have members of the team who live there. That means we might see a bit of authenticity go into the scenery, which is always a good thing.
The trailer focuses a lot on the weather system and how they’ve managed to create realistic effects of rain and the residue it leaves behind on many different levels from the puddles fading away and walls with varying dripping surfaces and their absorption of the wetness.
Right, so that didn’t sound technical at all, so I’ll let you listen to the words of Jason Conell and Nate Fox to describe just how much detail they’ve put into one of the most anticipated games for the PS4 this year.
inFamous: Second Son is due for release on March 21st 2014, exclusively on PS4 and maybe Vita if it lets you play on the porcelain throne via remote play.
