Motorola have recently cut the price of the wooden finished back plates on the Moto X from a pretty pricey $100 to a more affordable $25 as well as adding three new finishes, Walnut, Teak, and Ebony adding to the already existing Bamboo finish. Mmm, lovely.
One of the best things about the Moto X is the Moto Maker which gives you the ability to choose exactly what your Moto X will look like, whether it’s a coloured plastic finish with brightly coloured buttons, or a more sophisticated wooden look with black or silver buttons.
“Featuring natural finishes and distinct grains, these wood backs are undeniably unique and provide a whole new level of sophisticated customisation for your smartphone,” announced Motorola in a blog post. ” Every wood grain is different, so every phone is too – just like you!”
What’s more the Moto X is now still available for $399 off-contract and the Wood Finishes available for just $25 more, that’s a much better price than the $100 for Bamboo! In terms of availability the Bamboo will be available with this new price on Moto Maker right now and Walnut, Teak and Ebony finishes will be available starting January 21st.
