Last year Google unveiled the new 2013 Nexus 7 and the Nexus 5, but for some reason forgot to update the 10-inch Nexus 10 tablet which was released in 2012. Fortunately, we might just see an announcement of some sort at this years CES. If rumours are to be believed anyway.
The latest Nexus 10 rumour comes from Digitimes who are suggesting that Google are to reveal and even release the new Nexus 10 at CES some time this week. Previously rumoured to be manufactured by LG, the company behind the Nexus 5, it appears that Samsung will once again be supplying Google with the 10-inch slate.
As far as I’m aware, Google don’t have any plans to announce anything at CES this week, but Samsung are yet to hold their conference so perhaps we’ll be seeing something from them instead? There’s also a few things hinting at an imminent Nexus 10 release such as Google Play being completely out-of-stock of the Nexus 10 with no replacement stock expected, this happened with the Nexus 4 in the run up to the Nexus 5 release so perhaps something is on the agenda?
We’ll see whether these rumours are true over the next couple of days when CES gets into full swing. What we can be sure about is a handful of new Samsung and Chrome OS devices will be announced.
