It looks like Pebble is getting a fancy executive re-boot at CES with the announcement of the Pebble Steel, a more premium looking smartwatch which features all of the features in the original Pebble smartwatch, but in a fancier looking shell.
Dubbed the Pebble Steel, the Steel is set to be available in two versions, a Black Matte version and Brushed Stainless version, both of which come with matching metal straps, as well as a simple black leather strap. Unlike the original Pebble smartwatch the Steel comes with a Gorilla Glass complete with an anti-fingerprint coating.
The Pebble Steel is available for pre-order now for $249 (£150) and will begin shipping on January 28th.
Along with the fancy looking Pebble Steel, Pebble also introduced the Pebble App Store, a brand new addition to the Pebble that offers a “centralized location for users to discover, manage, and install apps and watchfaces.” Expected to launch at the end of the month the Pebble app store will be the one-stop-shop for apps, games, and utilities, to make the most out of your Pebble smartwatch.
