Previously Samsung executive VP of the company’s mobile division Lee Young Hee revealed that Samsung will be “going back to basics” with the Samsung Galaxy S 5 offering a different experience to fans of Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S devices, primarily Lee Young Hee was talking about the look and feel of the device but in the latest batch of leaks from @evleaks could a new UI be coming too?
The new overhauled UI leaked by @evleaks suggests that Samsung may be looking to launch a Google Now-like cards interface that gives users quick snippets of information such as text messages, delivery information, and news on sports teams. @evleaks also revealed another image on what the lock screen and home screen is set to look like if this new User Interface is real.
It seems the icons are going to get a much flatter, pastel coloured look with the option to have some of the Google Now-like cards on the lock screen giving you up to date information without having to unlock the phone.
Samsung are expected to launch the Samsung Galaxy S 5 in April and according to recent information have an Unpacked event scheduled for February 23 during the Mobile World Congress where they could unveil the Samsung Galaxy S 5 as well as the new UI. Of course, we’ll keep you posted on any more Samsung Galaxy S 5 developments.
