It’s 2014! So shake off your hangover and head on over to the Steam Holiday Sale, providing you have money left to spend! The sale ends on Friday so if you’re yet to even look at the Steam Holiday Sale and you own a PC, you’re probably a bit mental, or just aren’t that into gaming.. In that case, why are you on this post!
With nine more games to choose from I’m practically spoiled for choice as to what to go for. Wait, hold on a minute. There’s a curveb ball! Or is it a hint? In today’s sale one of the items is an accounting utility called ‘You Need a Budget’, you can eeven save 75% on what’s being called “the world’s best budgeting program”. Yeah, I can take a hint.
So if you do have some money left to blow here’s my top three from today’s Steam Holiday Sale!
The Walking Dead: Season 2 – It has only been out for a few weeks yet it makes an appearance in the Steam Holiday Sale giving you a saving of 25%, brilliant! Season Two of Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead continues the story of Clementine, a young girl orphaned by the undead apocalypse. Left to fend for herself, she has been forced to learn how to survive in a world gone mad. Many months have passed since the events seen in Season One of The Walking Dead, and Clementine is searching for safety.
This is the first time players get to play as Clementine and there’s also the return of some familiar characters! Keep an eye out on n3rdabl3 for a review coming real soon.
Castle Story – Instruct adorable little yellow blobs to build, craft, and defend an almighty castle! Castle Story is currently available on Steam in Early Access giving you the chance to play the game in it’s early stages of development and watch the game grow as you play! This creative voxel-based strategy game allows you freedom to build castles one brick at a time using an army of little characters called Bricktrons.
Your goal will be to explore a vast landscape full of mysteries and dangers, and defend your castle against onslaughts of hostile creatures and possibly other players.
Just Cause 2 – Just Cause 2 was released in 2010 so it’s a pretty dated title, but that’s not the reason we’ll be spending £1.99 on this action packed free-roaming title. No, it’ll be for the Multiplayer Mod that was officially added to the title last month. Voted Mod of the year by ModDB the Just Cause 2 Multiplayer Mod injects frantic multiplayer action into this fantastic title.
Imagine the chaos of normal Just Cause 2, then extending it out to dozens, hundreds, and even thousands of players.
And finally here’s today’s Flash Sales, available at a super cheap price for the next seven or so hours. Right now you can grab:
- Interstellar Marines – £4.07
- Rayman: Legends – £12.49
- Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition – £3.74
- Legend of Grimrock – £2.39
Don’t forget to come back tomorrow at around 6pm (ish) UK time for our top-picks of the Steam Holiday sale which is set to continue until Friday!
