HB Studios has confirmed that their golfing simulator, The Golf Club, will be coming to Steam this Spring as well as plans to give players Early Access. This follows the announcement that The Golf Club will also be teeing off on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this Spring.
The Golf Club hopes to provide “an accessible, high quality, social and customizable golf experience with minimal to zero loading times.” because there’s no loading times in a real game of golf, right? To add to that, The Golf Club offers procedurally generated courses, an entirely customisable course creator, and the high flying social aspects of golf life.
Players can also create their own custom tournaments and tours as well as sharing their course creations online for others to play. Though HB Studios did reveal the game also comes with a set of pre-made courses designed by the studio. At present no licensed courses can be found in the game.
Though in the initial announcement HB Studios revealed the game would be coming to Steam, the fully confirmed that it’ll be arriving in Spring with the ability for players to get Early Access too. “The game is coming to Steam,” said executive producer Peter Garcin. “The response we’ve had to the game has been enormous, and we’re planning on doing an Early Access as well.”
“There’s a lot of potential for future development via Steam – in terms of Steam Workshop integration or SteamOS and controller support.” read the official announcement on the studio’s website. “We’re really excited to be on the platform and can’t wait to get the game into everyone’s hands.”
