We’ve not been short of rumours and leaks surrounding the HTC M8 or the HTC One Two, or HTC One+, or whatever you want to call it. The latest batch of leaks and rumours show that for the first time ever the HTC M8 could come with Google Nexus-like on-screen buttons instead of the usual capacitive, and the latest rumour suggests that a late March announcement in New York is on the cards.
Of course these rumours must be taken with a pinch of salt, but that doesn’t mean that they’re not as tasty! It’s looking likely that HTC might do away with the usual capacitive button configuration found on almost every HTC device. In the latest screenshot leak we can see three on-screen buttons, similar to Google’s own, which are supposedly for the HTC M8.
The second rumour comes from @evleaks who tweeted: “Starting to look like a late March, NYC launch for HTC M8.” Now, his leak didn’t come with a lot of supporting facts, but @evleaks isn’t one for putting out false information and if he does, he usually corrects himself pretty quickly.
This does mean that if @evleaks is correct, the HTC M8 won’t star at the MWC at the end of the month and will most likely be announced at it’s own press event.
