As soon as we heard that a new Metal Gear Solid title was coming we were confused to hear that there were two and one of which would be a prequel of sorts.. The prologue to Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes, will keep you occupied until The Phantom Pain is released, but according to Game Informer, not for long.
Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain was recently revealed as this months cover in Game Informer which also features some exclusive interviews with developer Hideo Kojima. During that interview he revealed that the prologue to The Phantom Pain, MGS: Ground Zeroes will be able to be played through in about two hours.
In the interview Kojima stated: “Judged just by the core story mission, Ground Zeroes is short. We completed it in just less than two hours.” That’s just the core story mission, that doesn’t include side missions and various other little tasks that’ll probably be present in Ground Zeroes, and considering it’s a prologue to what looks to be a much bigger game, it should tide us over until then, right?
Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes is out in the March 18 (NA) and March 20 (EU).
