Following all of the amazing announcements at the Mobile World Congress this week Motorola quietly revealed a few things during their fairly small press conference at the event, the first was that they are working on a smartwatch that should be revealed by the end of the year, the second was that the Moto Maker is finally rolling out to Western Europe and Mexico.
During the brief Q & A at the event Motorola’s senior vice president, Rick Osterloh, along with Steve Horowitz, and Mark Randall revealed that the Moto G which launched in November last year was Motorola’s most successful smartphone beating phones from the Moto Droid range and the Moto Razr range.
Osterloh didn’t reveal exact numbers, but that’s pretty big news when you take into account that the Moto G launched just three months ago.
Around the same time as Motorola’s event, the companies Twitter began answering user questions one of which was about the next Motorola Moto X. “Q from twitter: When is next version of Moto X? A: Keep posted – hint – late summer. #MotoMWC” read the Tweet which was then met with radio silence from the company about the subject.
It’ll be interesting to see what Motorola come up with now they’re in the hands of Lenovo, I’m also looking forward to the new Moto X whenever that may arrive.
