Over Christmas Nintendo attempted to launch the Nintendo Bank for the Nintendo 3DS, the launch was intended to be worldwide but as soon as word got out that it was in the Nintendo eShop everyone went mad. Mad enough to crash the entire eShop across the world so Nintendo decided to pull the app, and roll it out slowly.
First the Pokémon Bank landed in Japan, a few weeks ago it landed here in Europe and most recently it launched in North America giving Pokémon X/Y fans the ability to save, store, and manage up to 3,000 Pokémon including those from games other than X/Y.
The Pokémon Bank can be used along side the Poké Transporter that’ll give you the ability to bring Pokémon from games like Pokémon Black or White to your game in Pokémon X and Y.
Hold your horses though. The app itself is free to download but it does require a yearly subscription for continued use after the 30-day trial period ends. The annual fee isn’t much, it’s around £4.49, and it’s yearly too which means you’ll have 365 days of Pokémon storage goodness before having to pay another £4.49.
Will you be downloading the Pokémon Bank/Transporter? If so which Pokémon will you be transferring over to X/Y? Leave a comment below!
