Samsung have finally announced “Episode 1” of their Unpacked event which is scheduled to be held during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona at the end of the month. Titled “Unpacked 5” we can probably assume that it’s going to be where Samsung unveil the Galaxy S 5.
In the week long event Samsung plan to kick off the Mobile World Congress with their Unpacked 5 press event which is being held on the 24th of February at around 7pm UK time. In recent times Samsung has used the “Unpacked” title for press events that usually reveal the companies flagship devices, and with the addition of the ‘5’ suggests that it’ll have something to do with the upcoming Galaxy S 5!
Of course, Samsung have remained quiet about the S 5 as well as making no comments on the torrent of leaks that have flowed out surrounding the next flagship device other than saying that a March/April release is on the agenda. Putting Samsung’s Galaxy S 5 aside, it could also be the event where Samsung reveal their new Tizen operating system which is set to compete against the likes of Android and iOS.
Also a quick note to point out that this is “Episode 1” which leaves room for another Unpacked event later on in the year, perhaps another Note and Galaxy Gear is also on the agenda for this year?
