Cheater in Titanfall? Enjoy Playing in the “Wimbledon of Aimbot Contests”

To some people, playing a game as it should be played isn’t fun, so to make it more entertaining they decide to run aimbots and other tools during gameplay in order to either cause chaos, or to just be a troll. Either way for those of us who play legitimately, it’s not fun at all. Sadly, a few days after the release of Titanfall Respawn Entertainment revealed that they’ve discovered users using aimbots and are working on sorting them out.

Welcome to the “Wimbledon of aimbot contests.”

Last night Respawn Entertainment announced that they’ve added anti-cheat measures into the PC version of Titanfall which, if you’re caught using “aimbots” or “wallhacks”, you’ll be thrown into games filled with other cheaters. All of the details were outlined on Respawn Entertainments blog which gives you all the information you need if you plan to cheat, or if you have already been banned.

How will you know? Check the screenshot above, if you’re banned you’ll also have the dreaded red writing above your party window. And if you do get banned:

“Great news: you get to keep playing Titanfall! Less-great news: you only get to play with other cheaters. You can play with other banned players in something that will resemble the Wimbledon of aimbot contests. Hopefully the aimbot cheat you paid for really is the best, or these all-cheater matches could be frustrating for you. Good luck.”

Also, if you associate yourself with a banned person, you too will be thrown into a game filled with cheaters if you wish to play with that banned person. The good news is that as soon as the banned player leaves your party, you’ll be put back with the genuine players.

Respawn Entertainment haven’t revealed whether those that have been banned will be un-banned based on good behaviour, but my guess is that that’s not the case, if you ruin the game for others it’s only fair the game gets ruined for you.
