The father of World of Warcraft, Blizzard, has now given its players of Wow an optional choice to buy their way to lv 90. Blizzard made this move for players who don’t wish to waste their game time slaying monsters and levelling up or “Grinding” as it is referred to. This move was made to make it more convenient for players by paying a total of $60 (£35 for us tea sippers) to advance to the new level cap in seconds.
Lead designer, Ion Hazzikostsas, Stated this “We realised as soon as we came out with Warlords of Draenor boost to 90, we knew that there was going to be demand for more than one It’s tremendously awkward to tell someone that you should buy two copies of the expansion just to get a second 90. That’s odd. So we knew at that point we were going to have to offer it as a separate service.”
The pricing itself seems fair; as there are many “unofficial” levelling purchases (Like paying someone to grind for you) $60 seems about the right amount. Blizzard has made it this amount as to not “Devalue the accomplishment of levelling.” ”The intent here isn’t to create a world where no-one levels,” Ion Hazzikostas continued. “It’s just to allow people who want to purchase additional level 90s, maybe they want a second or third alt and they don’t have time to level it themselves because they have a family or etc – it’s to allow them to do that.”
