Earlier this year Namco Bandi, or Bandai Namco as they’ll soon be known, announced the next game in there long running Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm series. Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution takes a break from the Fourth Shinobi World War to hold the Ninja World Tournament.
The Ninja World Tournament aims to find out who is the worlds greatest ninja. Bringing together the largest cast of characters yet the games announcement trailer can be viewed above.
The game’s new Ninja World Tournament mode is described on Namco’s Youtube channel as a mode that “will let you live an original scenario including four-ninja melee battles (player Versus 3 AI). To win in these brand new battles, you will have to be the one who collect most Battle Orbs.
The Ninja World Tournament welcomes ninjas from around the world to Festival Island where they will seek out a variety of melee brawls against multiple opponents. Tournament entrants will be able to compete in tiered battles, working their way across the island to reach the S-ranked battles to be crowned the ultimate ninja. Reports have surfaced that the mysterious Mecha-Naruto has been seen on Festival Island. Mayhem is coming…?”
The game will also fill in the back stories of the Akatsuki’s members through new animated scenes woven in to the game play. Earlier today Namco Bandi Europe released the first images of Hidan, Deidara, Kakuzu, and Sasori in their new outfits designed by series creator Masashi Kishimoto along with Orochimaru in his Akatsuki outfit.
