The founder of Respawn Entertainment, Vince Zampella, has finally revealed plans to release free and paid DLC for their up coming game Titanfall. It was also revealed that a Season Pass will be available which will cover paid DLC. The game is not going to us any micro transitions so buying the Season Pass will get you the DLC at a better price.
Zampella also talked about free updates for the game that will add in features that Respawn weren’t able to add to the game before development was completed. In an interview with GameStop, Zampella said:
“We plan to do DLC to support the game. We’re going to do paid DLC. We’re also going to do free updates, we’re going to add in – there’s things that we want in the game that we didn’t get to ship in the final game, so we’ll add private matches and things like that for free. We’re going to do a season pass just because if you buy it up front, you get a deal. We’re not doing micro-transactions. So, you know, a season pass is just, buy it up front and get a better price.”
A launch trailer was also released a couple of days ago and can be viewed above. Titanfall is set for release on Xbox One and PC on the 14th March and Xbox 360 at a later date.
