Benedict Cumberbatch Not Going To Be In Star Wars Episode VII

During OZ Comic Con, Benedict Cumberbatch ruled him self out of appearing in Star Wars Episode VII. Cumberbatch who stars as Sherlock Holmes in the BBC series said “I would’ve liked a part in J.J.’s new Star Wars, but it won’t happen, sadly.”

Benedict Cumberbatch recently played Khan in J.J. Abrams latest Star Trek film so rumours have been fly around the internet that he would be teaming up with the director again. The quote just rules him out of the new Star Wars film but it doesn’t mean Cumberbatch couldn’t be apart of the new trilogy at some point in the future.

Star Wars Episode VII will be released in cinemas on the 18th of December 2015 and is being directed by J.J. Abrams the master mind behind the recent Star Trek reboot, TV sensation LOST and cult hit Fringe. The only confirmed cast member so far is R2D2.  Check back soon for the latest Star Wars News.
