Motorola to Reveal Their Next Smartphone on May 13

Earlier this evening Motorola has sent out invites to the press for an event in London where they’ll be unveiling the next Motorola smartphone which Motorola say is “made to last. Priced for all.”

“Connect more people to the world’s information and each other, and they can do great things,” announced Motorola via its invite. “Introducing the next smartphone from Motorola to make these connections happen. Made to last. Priced for all.”

The addition of the sentence “priced for all” suggests that the event could be for the rumoured Moto E, a much cheaper version of Motorola’s best selling smartphone to date, the Moto G. The Moto E doesn’t have any official specifications, but rumours suggest it’ll have a 4.3-inch screen and house a 1.2GHz dual-core chip with 1GB of RAM, as for memory it’s said to have 4GB of internal memory, a 5MP rear camera, and a 1,900mAh battery.

In terms of the “made to last” part, this could suggest that Motorola’s next smartphone could be a more durable and robust smartphone. There’s also rumours of a new, refreshed Moto X called the Moto X+1, but it sounds a little unlikely, from the invite, that Motorola will be unveiling this device at the event.
