Motorola has revealed that a successor to the Moto X will be coming later this year, but have refused to reveal more information on the companies next flagship device. Serial leaker @evleaks may have put an end to our pondering by revealing that the next Moto X will be called the Moto X-1 and may come with a leather back.
Very little details have been released about the Moto X+1, the only other thing @evleaks revealed was that Motorola will be introducing leather backs to their next flagship, similar to the wooden back the company added to the Moto Maker last year.
Motorola revealed by Twitter than a Moto X refresh was coming sometime this summer, during the Mobile World Congress earlier this year. If @evleaks is true with the Moto X+1 name, we can most likely expect an upgraded version of the Moto X with a similar look and feel but with better specifications.
The Moto X launched in the US in August, 2013 which was then followed by an European release earlier this year. The current Moto X is home to a 4.7″ Super AMOLED touch screen, and runs a 1.7 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro with 2GB RAM. It’s also home to a 10.5 megapixel main camera and a 2.1 megapixel front facing camera.
