Netflix has recently released the latest trailer for the second season of Orange is the New Black, a Netflix Original dark comedy-drama set in a female prison which stars Taylor Schilling, Laura Prepon, Michael J. Harney, Michelle Hurst, Kate Mulgrew, and Jason Biggs that focuses on Piper Chapman (Schilling) who is sent to prison for carrying drug money for her former girlfriend Alex Vause (Prepon) 10 years prior.
In the latest trailer, after the dramatic cliffhanger we’re left with at the end of Season 1, we see Chapman has been moved to a more secure and solitary cell block but promises to be a model inmate which seems to secure her release back into general population. The trailer also introduces some new and not so happy looking faces that seem to have some history with “Red” (Mulgrew) which seems to threaten her position at the top of the food chain and if Season 1 is anything to go by, chaos is about to ensue.
The entire second season of Orange is the New Black, directed by Jenji Kohan (Weeds), is set to launch on Netflix on June 9. If you’re yet to watch Season 1 I’d definitely recommend it.
