In October last year one of the most anticipated titles for the 3DS, Pokémon X & Y, launched worldwide. Nintendo revealed today that collectively, both games sold 12 million copies to date making Pokémon X & Y the fastest selling 3DS games in history.
Earlier this year at the end of January Nintendo revealed that Pokémon X & Y had shifted a total of 11.5 million copies which means a massive 400,000 copies have sold in the past two-and-a-bit months. That’s pretty impressive. Nintendo today also revealed that this makes Pokémon X & Y the fastest selling 3DS title ever adding to the more than 245 million Pokémon video games sold to date.
Along side these figures the Pokémon Company also revealed that another Pokémon Movie is on the way, the 17th Pokémon movie, which is set to be broadcast in the UK at some point this year. The movie is called Pokémon the Movie: Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction and will of course star Ash and Pikachu.
