If there’s one thing Ubisoft can be proud of, it’s their Assassin’s Creed franchise that has just crossed the 73 million sales mark the company announced via their “facts and figures” page a few days ago. It’s no wonder they want to step things up and are rumoured to be releasing two Assassin’s Creed games later this year.
Ubisoft now employs over 9,200 people at 29 studios in 19 countries according to the page, with 7,800 work on production, with the remaining 1,400 split across different divisions.
According to the “facts and figures” page the publishers best selling franchise is Assassin’s Creed with 73 million copies sold across all titles, which is followed by Just Dance which reports sales of 48 million, a little less impressive. Following Just Dance is three Tom Clancy titles, Splinter Cell, Rainbow Six, and Ghost Recon with sales of 30 million, 26 million, and 25 million respectively.
Ubisoft are set to report its full-year earnings on May 15, 2014, during an earnings call. Ubisoft executives will also report their outlook for the coming year.
Ubisoft are planning to release Assassin’s Creed Unity later this year on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One with Assassin’s Creed Comet rumoured to be for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
