Almost a year after the western release of the Xbox One, gamers in Japan will finally be able to get their hands on Microsoft’s next-generation console. This is one of 26 territories that are expected to have the Xbox One by September, but the remaining 25 are still yet to get a solid release date.
So far the Xbox One has launched in 13 territories with a remaining 26 set to get the console before the end of the year. With those numbers Microsoft has shifted around 5 million consoles to retail which is pretty impressive despite being a little overshadowed by Sony’s huge PlayStation 4 sale numbers.
The Xbox One is expected to have just over 40 titles available for the console when it launches in Japan on September 4 including Titanfall, Kingdom Hearts 3, Final Fantasy XV, and Sunset Overdrive.
