Coffee Stain Studios has finally revealed the release date for the huge 1.1 Patch for their hilariously stupid Goat Simulator, which is set to bring with it a brand new map to gallivant around and split screen local multiplayer so you and a friend can cause mayhem together. Perhaps that’ll help make the game feel less lonely.
Coffee Stain Studios has also released the new, revised release date for the Goat Simulator DLC which will be able to download for free on June 3. It’ll come as part of a standard update for the game on Steam, so it should download automatically.
“We realise we said we’d release the patch in May, but we really wanted to shock players and make sure the new map will be even better than the old one, so we had to push forth the release date a week or so than we originally intended,” wrote game designer Armin Ibrisagic “With June 3rd as a release date, the new map is gonna be so awesome, and I’m not just saying that cause I’m working on the game.”
Not only does the game come with a new map and split-screen multiplayer letting four goats play at the same time, the game also comes with new features such as:
- Goat wall-running and balancing on your front legs
- You will be able to ride bicycles and skateboards, and force humans to ride you.
- New playable goats, including Tornado Goat, Shopping Goat, Classy Goat, Repulsive Goat, and more!
- Optimization, achievements, and all kinds of other cool jazz.
Here’s a handful of screenshots too! Are you excited? I am!
