Following the release of Hitman: Absolution in 2012, Io-Interactive and Square Enix have been busy focusing on other things. Sure we’ve had a new Hitman title for mobiles which was pretty good, but what about those that are fans of the PC/Console Hitman series? It looks like we’ll be getting some more news on that subject soon.
At the end of a recent blog post about Hitman: Absolution landing on Mac, Io-Interactive revealed that they have news on a new Hitman title that they plan on announcing in another blog post by the end of the month.
“We’ve also got some news for those of you that have already played Absolution and are waiting to hear more about our next Hitman game; you can expect another blog post before the end of May. We’re looking forward to sharing more!”
Io-Interactive has previously revealed that their next Hitman will be going back to the series roots and will bring back the more sandbox, open world levels and will offer more freedom, following feedback received after the launch of Hitman: Absolution. Details are pretty thin right now, but with the end of the month looming, I’m sure we’ll be hearing something soon.
