DICE have recently revealed that the Battlefield Hardline Beta will land on all platforms before release, but have clarified that later beta’s won’t be the same as the ongoing beta for PC and PlayStation 4.
Following EA’s E3 media briefing, the publisher and developer DICE launched the Battlefield Hardline beta for PC and PlayStation 4 and is currently ongoing. In an effort to tackle last years Battlefield 4 failure, DICE plans to roll out the Beta across all platforms before release in October, but has told OXM that it won’t be the same Beta that’s currently ongoing.
“We will have a beta on all platforms before release,” DICE’s General Manager Karl-Magnus Troedsson said. “But it won’t be this beta on Xbox. It’s not going to be the same version, just to be clear.”
DICE have yet to go into detail as to what’ll be different when the Beta launches on Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PlayStation 3, but presumably it’ll be a more polished and bug-free Beta than that on PC and PlayStation 4.
Recently EA and DICE revealed that they’re considering introducing early access to all future Battlefield titles in order to ensure a more stable launch, with Battlefield Hardline being the first to test this idea out.
Battlefield Hardline is expected to land on PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One this October 24.
