Google Glass has finally made the long voyage overseas and is now available to tech-addicts in the UK. Unfortunately the high price tag is still attached, and will set potential Glass Explorers back £1,000. Google are currently opening up their appointment books so you can try and buy Glass, right now.

Google’s Glass Explorer programme has been ongoing for some time in the US, and aside from various special events, Glass has yet to make any real footprints in the UK. Thankfully that’s all about to change as Google has announced that Glass is now available to purchase in the UK, now. What’s more, there’s no need to wait for an invitation to become an Explorer either, with Google Glass hopping onto the Play Store for anyone to purchase, if you have a fat wallet, that is.

You can head over to the Play Store now to purchase your Glass and choose from five different colours; Charcoal, Tangerine, Cotton, Shale, and Sky. Unfortunately Glass is a little pricer here than in the US with the current exchange rate setting the price to a cool $1,700 rather than the $1,500 pricetag in the US.

I think I’m going to wait until the price is a little lower..
