According to a report from Industry publication Develop, Microsoft are poised to unveil the highly anticipated Crackdown 3. No other details were made available but the third title in the Crackdown series has been rumoured for some time.
According to Develop’s insider source, Microsoft will be unveiling the game at E3 later this evening, but didn’t specify any more information such as whether the game will land on Xbox One, or Xbox 360, or Both. They also didn’t reveal whether it’ll be a new game entirely or a remake of an older title in the series, something we all know is on trend at the moment.
The existence of Crackdown 3 has been rumoured for some time with no real confirmation. During Xbox One’s reveal event in May last year, a teaser for the next game was teased via the games Agility Orb being present on the screen along side Xbox One titles which have since been announced. Microsoft’s Phil Spencer did admit that this was deliberate but didn’t reveal if another game is in the works.
Microsoft’s E3 conference is expected to begin at 5:30 UK time today where we’re hoping to see more of Sunset Overdrive as well as more on the next Halo game, Halo: Guardians. Stay tuned to n3rdabl3 as we’ll be reporting on all of the news that comes out of Microsoft’s event later this evening.
