In February Motorola revealed that a refresh of their current flagship device, the Moto X, will be coming in “late summer” but failed to actually offer more in the way of a date other than that. According to a recent tip, we won’t be seeing the device, reportedly called the Moto X+1 until the very end of summer, as late as September.
The tip comes from serial leaker @evleaks, who has revealed that Motorola will be leaving the unveiling of the Moto X+1 as late as September. To be even more specific he said that it’ll be the very last days of September. This doesn’t seem too unlikely as the Moto X, Motorola’s current flagship device, was released in August last year and Motorola will likely want the device to have a full year on the market before releasing a new device.
According to leaks the Moto X+1 is set to come with a bigger screen as well as more powerful insides. There’s also hints that the design may change too, but Motorola are yet to confirm or deny any of the speculation or rumour.
Motorola have recently unveiled the cut-price Moto E, an even cheaper version of the Moto G that offers the same functionality, minus some of the power. Motorola are also set to release a 64GB version of the Moto X in the coming weeks.
