Planetside 2 is already making waves on the PC, but what everyone is waiting for is the PlayStation 4 version which is set to launch on Sony’s next-generation console sometime this year.
The massively multiplayer free-to-play space battle sim Planetside 2 will be making its first appearances on the PlayStation 4 at E3 this year where attendees will be amongst the first to play the game on Sony’s latest console as well as experience some of the epic grand-scale battles found in Planetside 2.
“Getting the world’s largest FPS experience to the console is no small feat, and we have an incredibly talented, hard-working team dedicated to the cause,” says Matt Higby, Creative Director at Planetside 2. “Each day is a flurry of playtests, reviews, brainstorming, check-ins, and more playtesting for good measure; the progress we’ve made over the last few months has been amazing to watch.”
Planetside 2 on the PlayStation 4 will offer some impressive visuals as well as the ability to remotely play the game on the PS Vita, what’s more the game will utilise the DualShock 4 touch pad, and won’t need a PlayStation Plus subscription in order to play.
