Still have some money left? Good! If not close this window, right now. Today’s Steam Sale has some corkers on offer – I know, I use that adjective a lot, but they are! Anyway, the sun really isn’t going anywhere here in the UK which means it’s the perfect time to lock yourself indoors, close the curtains, and sink yourself into a world unlike your own.
The past couple of days have had some cracking games, I mean, Rocksmith for only £10, yes please! The Wolf Among Us for only £6.45? Sure, why not! Today’s pick of the crop are even more spectacular and here’s my top pick of the bunch.
The LEGO Movie Videogame – What better way to spend your summer indoors than clicking yourself firmly into the blocky world of The Lego Movie Videogame? the game, unlike other LEGO titles, is made entirely out of (virtual) LEGO blocks, what’s more it has a fantastic story to boot. If that’s not enough the game stars Batman, I mean, what more could you want? LEGO, check. Humour, check. Batman, check. Then we’re all set.
Surgeon Simulator 2013 – Easily one of the most hilarious, yet difficult games I’ve ever played. Fancy spending the summer becoming an amateur surgeon? Well Bossa Studios has you covered. In Surgeon Sim you take the role of expert surgeon Nigel Burke, as you steadily and awkwardly control his hands with a series of buttons, clicks, and twists. Thankfully he has a series of surprisingly easy-going patients who have hopefully signed a waiver preventing them taking Nigel to court once they discover he (you) have left a pencil in their chest cavity.
Dark Souls – Prepare to Die Edition – Okay, lets get serious now. Dark Souls isn’t as hilarious as the other two games, so we need to get all giggles out of the way and put our serious faces on because we’re about to die, a lot. Dark Souls is a ridiculously challenging game where you must learn from your mistakes as you progress through the gritty world of Lordran. The Prepare to Die Edition adds even more chances to get killed and include an untold chapter in the world of Lordran. Enjoy that one, won’t you.
