You wouldn’t be wrong  in thinking that if you already owned The Last of Us on the PlayStation 3, that you’d receive some sort of discount if you decided to upgrade to the remastered version which is set to launch on the PlayStation 4 on July 29, unfortunately that’s not the case, as Sony has confirmed that those looking to ‘up[grade’ to the remastered version, will have to pay the same price as everyone else.

Despite Naughty Dog saying in April that they were “looking into the business model for [upgrade discounts] and will post about this once we have input from all regions,” EU PS Blog manager Fred Dutton has revealed that it’s not going to happen, saying on the PlayStation Blog, “Alas, there is no upgrade discount.”It might seem like bad news for those with both the original game and the season pass, but Sony did drop the price of the game in Europe to £39.99 and it also includes all DLC released prior, so it’s not all bad, right?

To make things a little better, this week Sony released some official screenshots from The Last of Us Remastered which look absolutely incredible, you can see those below.
