In a recent Q and A session with fan on twitter, Dan Jeannotte the actor behind the main character Arno was asked about decapitation in the game. Jeannotte said “The marketing guys are telling me ‘no, no it is not possible.’” The marketing campaign for Assassin’s Creed Unity have focuses a lot on beheadings as the game takes place during the French Revolution, one of the the bloodiest periods in modern history.
Jeannotte has also described Arno as “very sharp and sarcastic, which sets him apart. He’s a very independent and a critical thinker, questioning the motives and methods of authority.” Yesterday Ubisoft revealed a new trailer for the game introducing Elise the Fiery Templar who seems to have some sort of history with Arno.
At this years Comic Con a level designer confirmed that the main campaign will take players between 15 and 20 hours to complete although Paris will offer over 100 hours of side activities. It was also confirmed that Paris will be three times the size of all the land mass in Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag.
It was recently revealed that after a tragic event early in his life, Arno was brought up by a prominent Templar. Looks like we will be finding out more about the Templar Order in the new game.
Assassins Creed Unity was announced earlier this year along side rumours of a second game, Assassin’s Creed Comet, for last-gen consoles. Unity will also be the first game in the series to add in co-op, allowing up to four Assassins to roam the streets of Paris together.
Assassins Creed Unity will be available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One on October 28th. To see where I want the series to go next click here.
