If there’s one thing I love more than anything, is when a game comes earlier than planned and it seems Bethesda are on the same page as they’ve announced that their survival horror title, The Evil Within, will be cominging to fill our pants a week earlier than planned! Oh yes!
Right now QuakeCon is in full swing and speaking at the event, Bethesda’s marketing VP Pete Hines has revealed that The Evil Within will be coming a week earlier than planned, I guess that makes up for the earlier delay from August to October. So now, you’ll be able to squeal like a little girl a week earlier when the game releases on October 14, rather than October 21, the same for the European release too, (October 17 rather than October 23).
The Evil Within puts players in the shaking boots of Sebastian Castellanos following his arrival on the scene of a brutal and gruesome murder. Things quickly go awry when Castellanos and his partners, Joseph Oda and Julie “Kid” Kidman are attacked. Castellanos is then knocked unconscious and wakes up in a world where monsters and other undead nasties roam free.
Directed by horror veteran Shinji Mikami, The Evil Within will hopefully go back to the roots of survival horror games and give players a truly horrifying experience.
The Evil Within is set to launch on Windows PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One on October 14 in North America, and October 17 for Europe.
