The cover athlete for EA Sports upcoming FIFA title, FIFA 15 has been revealed and it’s sulky World Cup Golden Ball medallist, Lionel Messi, who scored some pretty great goals during the World Cup finals, it’s just a shame he didn’t do so well during the match between Argentena and Germany this past weekend.

If you followed the World Cup this past month you’ll be aware that Messi managed to achieve “Man of the Match” four times during the event and scored a number of goals for his country, Argentena, so it comes as no real surprise that the Argentinian and Barcelona forward has also been awarded the coveted cover athlete for the upcoming FIFA title.

Messi has appeared several times on the cover of FIFA titles, being the cover star for FIFA Street (2012), FIFA 13 (2012), and FIFA 14 (2013), making this his fourth consecutive year as the cover athlete for the game. The box art, which you can see below, is the official cover for all regions, though EA hasn’t specified if anyone would be joining him on the cover in other locales, as per previous titles.

FIFA 15 is set for release on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Vita, PC, 3DS, and Wii on September 23
