GANG BEASTS! GANG BEASTS! GANG BEASTS! YES! YES YES YES!

I’m already assuming you know about the fantastic Plasticine-influence brawler that’s been making waves in the indie community, but if you haven’t seen it in action then here’s a link. It’s an old-school, bare-knuckle brawler with slick graphics and hilarious physics! It looks like a real joy to play, so I’m delighted to hear it’ll be making an appearance at this year’s Game Expo Scotland (in The Casual Zone) in Edinburgh, happening this October.

That’s not it, obviously. Although Gang Beasts is pretty much the coolest fighting game out there it wouldn’t be much of an eSports Zone if it didn’t have some other games to play with your mates, eh? So you’ll also find the likes of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 and Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 in The Casual Zone – as well as other as-of-yet unnamed titles, and in The Fun Zone, you’ll find a large selection of current and retro games including Mario Kart 8 on a big screen.

The Ultra Zone sounds like a place for the hardcore fighters: Tom Piddock (creator of Frame Trapped), will be guiding audience members through interactive tutorials that will teach you the skills needed to beat your best friends at the best fighting games, and there will be Exhibition matches from some of the best fighting game players, including local talent; Milligano, Bigfool, Breslin and Faker.

If that wasn’t enough, the Ultra Zone will host the official Capcom Pro Tour Ranking Tournament on Sunday, so you’ll want to work on your Ultra Street Fighter IV skills before you walk through the doors on the 5th!

Tickets are still available, and you can get them at this link. More information is on its way – but I don’t really care, because…
