Last week Giants Software and Focus Home Interactive announced the arrival of Farming Simulator 15 along with some gorgeous screenshots giving you a taste of a new and improved Farming Simulator experience. Giants Software were overwhelmed with the reception of Farming Simulator 13 on consoles and are geared up to bring a brand new experience to both PC and consoles once again later this year and in early 2015, what’s more they’ve also revealed that it’ll include cross-generation play!

As you might expect, Farming Simulator 15 lets you tend to your own farm; harvesting crops, milking cows, selling produce, y’know the usual stuff Farmers get up to, but this time there’s more. You can expect to find new graphics and physics engine, new visual effects, a new interface, new gameplay mechanics and, of course, a new and vast game environment. Giants have revealed that Farming Simulator 2015 will include visual effects and graphic rendering that are way ahead of the previous version, in particular using PBR (physical-based rendering) which makes environments and vehicles look almost real!

But it’s not just about looks, Farming Simulator 15 comes with a brand new challenge: Logging! With a whole host of new equipment to have you chopping down forests at your leisure such as harvesters, chain saws, chippers and even trailers. As you’d also expect from Farming Simulator 15 you’ll be able to get behind the wheel of some of the biggest names in agriculture such as Case IH, Deutz-Fahr and Lamborghini.

There’s multiplayer too with the ability to manage farmland with up to 15 friends online or on a local network – now that’s an eSport I’d like to see. Giants are also adopting the modding community too by providing an in-game customization tool, including vehicles, equipment and even environments!

Farming Simulator 2015 is set to land on PC in October of this year, and early 2015 on consoles, there’s also the mention of cross-generation play which suggests that we’ll be getting our first taste of the farming life on next-gen consoles!

October isn’t too far away, but until then here’s some gorgeous screen shots.FarmingSimulator15-01 FarmingSimulator15-02 FarmingSimulator15-03 FarmingSimulator15-04

The screenshots look good, let’s hope they improve the draw distance.
