Sold Out Sales & Marketing Limited have announced this week that hit indie tactical RPG, The Banner Saga, is getting a Collector’s Edition which is set to hit retail on July 25. This Collector’s Edition will include the core game along with the Official Soundtrack and the Insane Viking Pack. What could be better than that?
If you’re yet to pick up one of this years best looking games, then now’s your chance to pick up the Collector’s Edition which not only includes the core game, but the Official Sountrack, and the Viking Pack, a pack that was released exclusively as a pre-order bonus and gives players a brand new character, Tryggvi, his necklace which offers +10% chance to do 2x strength damage in combat, and three additional exclusive tracks from Grammy nominated composer Austin Wintory.
The game, which pulls inspiration from classic animations from yesteryear – Disney’s Robin Hood is one that immediately springs to mind – boasts stunning hand-drawn visuals capturing a merciless Nordic era, The Banner Saga is a single-player turn-based strategy game in which players take charge of a wandering army sent to fight the warlike Dredge.
“There are some games which demand permanent display – and The Banner Saga is unquestionably one of those,” says James Cato – Sales Director, Sold Out. “This is the definitive version of the game – and the only way those who didn’t pre-order the digital version can experience the additional content. We’ve worked really closely with Stoic to create a pack which does their stunning game justice – we know it’ll go down well with fans new and old alike.”
The Banner Saga: Collector’s Edition is heading to retail on July 25 for PC, priced £19.99.
