Guerrilla Cambridge, the developers behind the PlayStation Vita hit, Killzone: Mercenary, is apparently looking for new staff to help work on a brand new project which is for a “high profile” franchise according to job listing.
The job listing, spotted by NeoGAF, is looking for someone to fill an audio programmer position to join, Guerrilla Cambridge, a branch of Killzone developer, Guerrilla Games. The listing states that the individual will be working on a “forthcoming projects in a high profile, multi-million selling franchise.” Though no other details were revealed as to what franchise the game would be from, given Guerilla’s previous titles, a new Killzone game seems like a likely candidate.
Considering Guerilla Games is currently working on a new IP that they’ve been talking about for a while, it could be that they’ve handed the Killzone reigns over to Guerrilla Cambridge, the UK development studio formerly known as SCE Cambridge. The new game from Guerilla Games is said to be “completely different” from Killzone according to producer Poria Torkan and that it is “really awesome,” but that’s all we know.
Whether this new game from Guerilla Cambridge will be another Vita title seems unlikely as Sony have all but admitted that they’re abandoning the Vita in the West, so it’s likely that this could be a game for last or current-gen systems.
