Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty Gets a Price Drop in Europe and QuikBuy Bonus Content.

2For those who can’t wait to get their hands on Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty, the remake (sort of) of the classic title from Oddworld Inhabitants, Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee, you’ll be pleased to know that you’ll be able to get it cheaper than we originally though, what’s more, if you’re looking to get some of the extra content on offer, you can get that too!

Oddworld Inhabitants announced on their blog details of the price drop as well as how UK and European players can get their hands on the QuikBuy content which gives players the Alf’s Escape mission and the Scrub Abe costume. Alf’s Escape is “an all-new area of RuptureFarms containing brand new puzzles and fiendish hazards that’ll ensure a fresh challenge for even the most seasoned Oddworld fans, as well as specially recorded dialogue!”

As for the Scrub Abe costume, well for those that played the original game will know that this outfit is the one worn by traditional factory cleaner’s. Complete with striped loincloth and scalp cap, Abe will really look the part on that grimy factory floor.

But how exactly do you get this QuikBuy content? It’s simple, if you want this content for free and you’re from the US all you have to do is pre-order the game, if you’re from the UK or Europe, it’s a little more complicated, but you also get it all for free. In order to get the QuikBuy content, you need to be a PS Plus subscriber and you also have purchase the core game within two weeks of release.

As for the price drop; “To ensure as fair a price as possible with regards to the base US price of $29.99, we’ve opted to set the UK price at £17.99 and the European price at €20.99. That’s down from £19.99 and €24.99,” said Oddworld on their blog.

In case you missed it, Oddworld also released a brand new E3 trailer for New ‘n’ Tasty, which you can see below.

Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty will be released in the SCEE regions (Europe, Middle East, Africa, Russia, India, Australia and New Zealand) on July 23rd as a digital download from the PSN Store.
