What Platform Would you Like to See the Next Rock Band on? Harmonix Wants to Know.

Bloody Rock Band. I remember in 2007 scraping together everything we had, heading to Woolworths, purchasing the full Rock Band outfit, and trying to get it all back home on public transport. It wasn’t exactly easy, but in the end it was well worth it. Rock Band truly wielded some great memories for me and Hayley so it was a sad day when Harmonix decided to stop releasing Rock Band sequels, but thankfully it looks like it’s on the way back in! Harmonix want to know what platforms you’d like to see the game on as well as other things in a new survey they sent out to fans earlier this week.

Harmonix want to know what you want from the next Rock Band title, though they haven’t discussed whether a new game is in development, they say that the survey “will help inform discussions about the future of Rock Band,” which is better than nothing, right? Some of the questions ask you whether you’d like to see it on new or last-gen consoles, and whether you’d like to have DLC, as well as finding out exactly what platforms those of us who had Rock Band used to play on.

You can find the survey here.

Do you want to see a new Rock Band? And if so, what improvements would you like to see? Perhaps the use of real instruments ala Rocksmith? Let us know in the comments below.

Yes, though I’m hoping all DLC purchased on the PS3 version carries over. I’ve got about 180+ tracks and I’m not paying for them again… Oh and I’m not paying a fortune for new instruments either. I think I’ve probably ploughed about £300 into the series so far.
