Samsung have announced today three new phones in the Galaxy range which are functional and affordable. The Galaxy Trend 2, Galaxy Young 2 and Galaxy Core 2.

In an aim to compete with not just Motorola’s Moto G, but also other mobile devices that are coming out on the market, that have been specifically designed to be affordable and practical Android phone, Samsung have delivered three!

Galaxy Young 2

In the first and most basic of the three devices you have the Galaxy Young 2. With less battery power then the other two phones it also has a 1.0 GHz dual-core processor with enhanced computing power to make sure that it is up to speed.

This device give your young kids enough to keep them happy without having to spend a fortune for the latest devices. It has a 3.5 inch screen and 3 MP camera to have a bit of fun with whilst also supporting eight brand new Gameloft games. The phone can also be bought in either white or iris charcoal.

Galaxy Young 2

Galaxy Trend 2

Known outside of Europe as the Galaxy Ace 4, this device is the middle of the three announced today. Again, it has a 1.0 GHz processor and a battery that will last longer than the Young 2 but not by a huge amount. It includes the ability to do wireless printing and use Quick office as well as has good multi-tasking capabilities. This phone also comes in a choice of colours of Iris Charcoal or Classic White.


Galaxy Core 2

The top of the “Affordable” range is the Galaxy Core 2 where the battery life is substantially better at 2,000 mAh. It has a 4.5 inch screen, 5MP camera and with a 1.2 GHz Quad Core processor, it is also the most powerful. Designed for the more business like people it also includes dual sim technology to help out that little bit more. And Once again you can chose between a black and a white phone.


All of the mobiles use are running on KitKat 4.4 and have a version of TouchWiz Essence to help make the interface more enjoyable. In terms of pricing and availability, Samsung have yet to actually announce anything. We’ve reached out to Samsung for more information who are currently looking into this for us.
