Rebellion, the developers behind the sniping hit, Sniper Elite 3, has just revealed a brand new DLC pack for the game which launches on PC today, and comes to consoles soon. As the title suggests, players are tasked with the mission of saving Winston Churchill in a three-part release. Save Churchill: Part 1 – In Shadows is available now on Steam for £4.99, but that’s not all.
Today, not only did Rebellion announce the three-part Save Churchill DLC, but they also revealed that the DLC will come alongside the new Patriot Weapons Pack and a FREE update featuring a new multiplayer map called Airstrip. Yup, not one, not two, but three new things are coming to the chart-topping Sniper Elite 3.
The three-part Save Churchill DLC follows OSS sniper Karl Fairburne in his attempts to uncover and prevent a Nazi assassination attempt on the British Prime Minister in the run up to the famous Casablanca Conference of 1943.
“Save Churchill: Part 1 – In Shadows is set in an atmospheric night time re-imagining of the shadowy city of Siwa, but Rebellion’s Head of Creative Tim Jones also promised that the new North African environments in development for parts Two and Three will “blow people away” – including the largest level ever created in the series’ history,” says Rebellion in a press release. “Jones added that Rebellion wanted to offer players who’ve completed Sniper Elite 3’s main campaign “new encounters, new weapons, new unit types … the new missions are going to feel very different.””
Along with the DLC, Sniper Elite 3 has also recieved the Patriot Weapons Pack which see’s three American favourite weapons being added to your arsenal; the Springfield Rifle, M3 Grease Gun and M1911 pistol. Not forgetting the Airstrip map that comes as part of a free update, with three more FREE multiplayer also maps due later in the summer.
For those wondering when the content will land on their systems, Rebellion have said that, “All content will be published on PC, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PS3 although release dates will vary.”
