Paramount have recently released an official poster for the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles flick and it’s a little.. how can I put it best? In bad taste? The poster, which you can see below see’s our titular half-shell heroes leaping from an exploding building, that alone would make for a pretty awesome poster, the only thing is, the movie releases on September 11 in Australia, and it has it plastered at the bottom of the poster.. Oops.
Since Paramount tweeted the movie poster a fair bit of controversy has sprung up on the microblogging site and Paramount have since removed the tweet as well as the Facebook post which also displayed the poster. Now, of course this couldn’t have been the studio’s intentions, I guess someone didn’t put two and two together in this particular case – it looks like someone’s getting fired.
The Michael Bay produced Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles flick is expected to land in cinemas in the UK on October 17 and stars Pete Ploszek, Johnny Knoxville, Alan Ritchson, Noel Fisher, Jeremy Howard, Megan Fox, William Fichtner, Danny Woodburn, Tony Shalhoub, Will Arnett, Minae Noji,Whoopi Goldberg, and Abby Elliott. A 3DS tie-in game is also expected to launch this summer which sees players seamlessly switching between Raphael, Michaelangelo, Donatello, and Leonardo.
