There will be no Brazilian teams or league appearing in FIFA 15. The reason? It’s the way players are licensed in Brazil.
When FIFA 14 was announced, the inclusion of the Brazilian teams was big news, so for them to only last one season/game it may annoy certain fans of the game. A representative from EA shed more light on the situation saying “The league won’t be in FIFA 15 at all, not with generic player names or club crests,” said the representative. “The league won’t be in FIFA 15 at all, not with generic player names or club crests, the challenge lies with the way players are now licensed in Brazil.”
Santos FC and São Paulo, both spoke to Brazil’s Terra.com and said that they were under the impression that they would be appearing in FIFA games until 2018 through a contract. They also claim that EA never contacted the teams to discuss licensing issues.
